We'll make sure your jewelry is the right size for your anatomy and healing, and we'll let you know when it's time to come back for a downsizing

WHY DOWNSIZING MATTERS

Your initial jewelry is intentionally a little longer to allow room for swelling during the first stage of healing.

​

Once the swelling has gone down, jewelry that's too long can move around more than it should. this extra movement can lead to irritation, bumps, and slow down the healing process.

​

At the time of your piercing, we'll let you know if and when a downsizing visit is recommended based on your piercing. Downsizing visits are a separate service and are not included with your initial piercing, but they're an important part of helping many piercings heal comfortably and properly.
